Saw the highlights of the Bulls and Pacers game. Just in the short clip of two minutes it was obvious to me why the Bulls didn’t win.
The Bulls gave up to many open threes. The Bulls need to learn how to guard the pick and roll. The key is when you make the switch, you have to get on and stay on the shooter. The other player that set the pick is usually a big man who is not that good of a shooter so you sag on him. Better to give up a slightly contested mid range jumper then a lay up and even better to give up a slightly contested mid range jumper then wide open three.
For some reason the Bulls like to give up open threes and if they want to contend and win a championship then they need to STAY ON THE SHOOTERS! Like glue!
Execution and defense is the coaches job to address and get everyone on the same page. With that said. BRING BACK Coach Thibs as assistant to run the defense!
